# Carterton History with Martin Way

On 21st July from 6-7 pm, at a sold-out event at Carterton Library, local historian Martin Way gave a talk with wonderful slides about local history. Another highlight of the evening was the model train, which Chris Chewter set up for the evening, depicting Carterton train station around the late 1950s and early 1960s, near the end of passenger operations. Library window displays included Carterton history (put together by Sandie, Sophie and Izzy) and information about Carterton, New Zealand, put together by Sue, who hopes the towns might be twinned at some point!
